Cardio Thoracic Surgery Department was started with the noble vision of providing outstanding patient care, The Gujarat Research & Medical Institute ( Rajasthan Hospitals ) is first hospital in this region to have started the facilities of Open Heart Surgery including valve replacement and bypass surgery in the year 1992-93. Thousands of cardiothoracic surgeries have been performed at the Institute. The latest cardiovascular lab allows interventional procedures of heart as well as of other parts of the body.

Cardiothoracic Surgery is performed in modular operation theatre equipped with Hepo Filters, LED lights, Electronic remote controlled operation tables, Heart Lung Machines, Haemotherm, Intra Aortic Balloon Pump, Patient Monitors, Anesthesia used with Ventilators and other equipment & Special Cardiothoracic instruments, Central Oxygen and suction.
Also equipped with latest technology like Heart lung machines, Anaesthesia work station, Advanced invasive monitoring, Intra Aortic Balloon Pump etc. To ensure world class results. There is spacious post operative ICUs with 10 beds.
